Who We Are

Jennifer Yang
President & Founder

Jennifer is an attorney at Proskauer Rose LLP, where her practice focuses on advertising and other intellectual property disputes.  She earned her Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Philosophy from the University of California, Berkeley and her J.D. from Columbia University.  She has long been passionate about youth development and education, and spent time in college tutoring at local charter schools in neighboring Oakland.  She has continued to volunteer as a youth mentor since that time.

Jennifer lives in Long Island with fellow See Spot Love board member Shamik Mukherji and their rescue dog Guinness.

Evelynn Linden
Director Of Animal Welfare & Training

Evelynn has trained close to 9000 dogs over the last 20 years.  In addition to obedience, agility and trick training, Evelynn has extensive experience working with fearful and anxious dogs, as well as dogs with more serious behavioral issues.  She has spent a lot of time rehabilitating former fighting dogs and junkyard dogs so they are able to re-integrate into society and become stable family dogs.  In addition to running her private dog training business, Dogpalace Dog Training, and her work with See Spot Love, Evelynn is a dog trainer at Petco, and has previously worked with Best Friends Animal Society as their New York rehabilitation trainer.

Evelynn's current rescue, Scooby, was a fearful dog abandoned in a shelter a few weeks before hurricane Sandy.  Through Evelynn's work training him and building his confidence, Scooby is now both amazing with other dogs and great with people.  He has his AKC novice and intermediate trick dog titles.  Evelynn's late dog was a fully trained protective K9 drug dog who reached elite level obedience.

Shamik is a psychiatrist at Northwell Health, with specializations in Psychosomatic Medicine, Oncologic Psychiatry, and end-of-life care. He obtained his undergraduate degree at the University of California, Irvine, and his M.D. at Stony Brook University School of Medicine. He completed his training in Psychiatry at Northwell Health and his sub-specialty training in Psychosomatic Medicine and Psycho-Oncology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and Weill-Cornell Medical Center. He loves dogs and the joy they bring us, and has taught human high school students, undergraduates, medical students, and residents for many years.

Guinness Yang-Mukherji
Treat and Toy Coordinator

Guinness is a rescue hound mix with a passion for treats (really all foods) and toys (or anything he can use as a toy).  He has extensive experience in treat-testing, from boiled chicken to cheese, jerky to freeze-dried liver, and biscuits to soft treats.  He is also a toy connoisseur who has sampled the world of balls, frisbees, nylon chews, rubber toys, and treat dispensing toys, but his absolute favorites are plush toys that he can test the durability of by ripping to shreds.  When Guinness isn't hard at work approving treats and toys for our rescue pups, you can usually find him napping on the couch, taking neighborhood walks, playing on a field, hanging in a brewery, on adventures with his humans, or pushing his humans off the bed.

Guinness received his Puppy, Adult and Spazz Class degrees from Petco, is an AKC-certified Canine Good Citizen, and has his AKC novice trick dog title.
